Home Ownership Counseling Program Seminars - 2012 Dates

Community Action Financial Services has announced the dates of their Home Ownership Counseling Program (HOCP) Seminars for 2012.  The seminars, designed to assist first-time homebuyers, run from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on three consecutive Saturdays.

July 7, 14, 21 - Allentown
October 6, 13, 20 - Bethlehem

Topics include: How much you can afford; Your credit report; Local home ownership programs; Shopping for a home; Obtaining a mortgage; The closing process; Home maintenance and repair; Financial and risk management.

Two Homes in Easton Coming Spring 2012!

We've signed construction agreements for two homes in Easton - 31 N. 9th St and 1207 Bushkill St - and renovations will begin very soon! Both homes should hit the market around the start of spring 2012. Be sure to check our website and Facebook page regularly, as we'll be posting lots of updates and information over the next few months!

Community Land Trust Homeownership Open to More People

Community land trust homes are reserved for hard-working, often under-paid people who want to buy home at an affordable price. What does that really mean? How high can your income be if you want to purchase a community land trust house? Well, the income limits for our first homes just increased a little bit for the 2011-2012 year. You can see them here.
